Dontnod announced Life Is Strange 2 in June 2018, with an exclusive presentation at the 2018 E3.[32] At the presentation, the studio revealed the first episode was scheduled for a summer 2019 release.[33] On 10 August 2019, the second episode of Life Is Strange 2 was released, with a third episode scheduled for release in early 2020.[34] The third episode was later delayed to September 2020.[35] The game is also set to be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in September 2021.[36][37]
Dontnod released the first episode of The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Arcade on 15 May 2018, and released the second episode on 26 July 2018.[38] The series was initially planned to feature three episodes, however, the studio discovered it was too short and decided to add a fourth episode after consultation with Square Enix.[39][40] On 5 January 2019, the first three episodes of The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit were released on the Steam store.[41][42]
Square Enix announced Life Is Strange: True Colors at E3 2019.[43] The game was released on 10 September, and was made available on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store on 11 September.[44][45] It includes all of the content released for Life Is Strange and Life Is Strange: Before the Storm 827ec27edc
